Parce que le trio auquel Keith Jarrett participe aux côtés du bassiste Gary Peacock et du batteur Jack DeJohnette s’est constitué en 1983 pour interpréter des standards sur une série d’albums. Parce que le trio a emmené ces standards en tournée, adjoignant à ceux des albums d’autres qui n’y avaient pas trouvé leur place. Parce que c’est le cas de ce When You Wish Upon a Star, interprété ici lors d’un concert à Tokyo en 1986.
